In July, the 1937 Antifascist Women's March Mural and Marker Project won an award from the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation. Every year, the organization recognizes excellence in historic preservation around the state with the Florida Preservation Awards. The mural and marker project was awarded the 2024 Preserving Place Award, which "recognizes individuals, organizations or projects in Florida that have excelled inplacemaking and placekeeping, contributing to the enhancement and revitalization of communities while respecting their unique cultural heritage."
